Patrick J. Wood

Patrick J. Wood is a Founder of the law firm Wood & Morgan and has been representing dentists for 39 years. Mr. Wood received his B.A. degree from UCLA and his JD degree from Southwestern University. He was admitted to practice law in California in 1978 and is also admitted in Texas and Colorado.

The firm's primary emphasis is on dental practice sales, lease reviews, associateships, corporations, partnerships and related transactions. The firm also specializes in dental board defense, estate planning for dentists and employment law issues.

Mr. Wood has lectured extensively at multiple dental conventions, dental societies, and dental schools. He currently delivers approximately 20 practice transition seminars throughout the country each year. His firm negotiates over 150 office leases each year and is involved in approximately 100 dental practice sales each year. He has written numerous articles that have been published in dental publications such as "Dental Economics," "Journal of California Dental Association," "Strategies for Success," "The New Dentist," "CEDS Magazine," "Dentaltown," The Nugget Magazine," and "Journal of Colorado Dental Association."

Jason P. Wood

Jason Patrick Wood is a partner in the Law Firm of Wood & Morgan. Jason's primary emphasis is on business transactions for dentists and doctors: leases, purchase agreements, partnership agreements, shareholders agreements, corporations, associate agreements and other business-related legal needs. He has authored many articles relative to the business side of dentistry which have appeared in Dental Economics, CDA Journal, The New Dentist, Dentaltown Magazine, Colorado Dental Association Journal, Matsco's: Strategies For Success as well as numerous dental society newsletters. He is a moderator for Dentaltown on all forums related to the business side of dentistry and enjoys helping and educating doctors throughout the United States. Prior to joining Wood & Morgan, Jason worked in Washington, D.C. for the Speaker of the House in connection with Presidential and U.S. Congressional campaigns and thereafter he worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, drafting legislation for various House committees.

Justin J. S. Morgan

Justin J. S. Morgan is our newest partner in the law firm of Wood & Delgado. Mr. Morgan previously led Bank of America's private practice healthcare finance division for dentists and doctors in the Los Angeles area. During his tenure at Bank of America, Mr. Morgan oversaw and analyzed hundreds of dental and medical transactions and financing opportunities throughout the United States. Mr. Morgan has delivered numerous seminars on practice and real estate finance at private events, dental society meetings, and the California Dental Association's yearly convention in Anaheim, California.

Mr. Morgan is a business transactions attorney with a unique perspective that draws on his experience as a banker and former litigator. Prior to his work for Bank of America, Mr. Morgan worked as a bankruptcy and commercial litigator in the international law firm of Brown Rudnick, located in Irvine, California. Mr. Morgan received his B.A. from the University of California Santa Barbara and his J.D. from the University of Southern California. During law school he interned at the United States Ninth Circuit of Appeals for the Honorable Proctor Hug, located in Reno, NV. He was admitted to practice law in California in 2011.

Charles Delgado

Following Mr. Delgado's admission to the California and Hawaii Bar Associations in 1972, he served for seven years as a California Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Division where he represented major business regulatory agencies for the State of California, including the Department of Real Estate, the Board of Dental Examiners and the Department of Corporations.

Mr. Delgado later had positions with the Hahn Company, a major west coast regional shopping center developer, and as Vice President and General Counsel for Ferguson Partners, an Irvine- based real estate development company. Mr. Delgado has been working with dentists during his 25 years with Wood & Delgado, with primary emphasis on business litigation, partnership disputes, Dental Board defense, Denti-Cal defense and ancillary litigation matters.

He is a graduate of the University of San Francisco and of Loyola University Law School.
